Tennis on Majorca at the Vilas Tennis Academy
Blog - Mallorca Senses Hotels
Golf, cycling… and also tennis. At MSH Mallorca Senses Hotels we love sports and are happy to welcome guests who want to spend their holidays on Majorca while also engaging in the sport they are passionate about.
When we talk about tennis and Majorca, the first thing that comes to mind is Rafa Nadal and the famous Rafa Nadal Academy, located in Manacor. However, Majorca is also home to another top academy that is linked to one of the greatest tennis players of all times, the player with the second longest winning streaks on clay after Rafa Nadal. We are talking about Guillermo Vilas and the Vilas Tennis Acadamy in Palmanova, which has 10 fantastic clay courts and an excellent team of coaches and training programmes for all levels. Guillermo Vilas won 62 ATP titles and 4 Grand Slam tournaments: Roland Garros (1977), US Open (1977) and Australian Open (1978 and 1979).
MSH Mallorca Senses Hotels collaborates with the Vilas Tennis Academy in order to ensure our clients the best playing conditions. The Academy is only a 5-minute drive and a 15-minute walk from MSH Senses Palmanova and a 10-minute drive from MSH Senses Santa Ponsa and MSH Sky Senses Santa Ponsa. We always strive to find the best solution in collaboration with the Academy, and that regardless of the length of the stay, the level (from beginners to professionals) and the target (private clients, families or groups).
Active sports holidays are certainly a great way to take some time off in a healthy way. Why not play tennis outdoors surrounded by a wonderful setting with unbeatable weather conditions? And after a hard day of training, our clients can treat themselves in our recently renovated hotels, which have all the amenities they need. Just a stone’s throw from the beach, our spa and pool areas are perfect to recover and get their strength back.
